Finance at Dobies

At Dobies Cumbria Finance Limited, we have over 25 years’ experience in arranging finance for customers. We do not use an external finance house, we use our own money to finance your purchase of your vehicle.  This allows us to talk to our customers and really understand what they need rather than just filling in a box. That's why over 50% of our customers chose Dobies Cumbria Finance Limited.

At Dobies Cumbria Finance Limited we offer products to suit both individuals and business users for the purchase of new and used vehicles. We pride ourselves on our approach to meet the requirements of customers and we aim to provide a reliable and quality service.

  • Hire Purchase (HP) – this often suits buyers who intend in keeping the car for a long period of time.  The agreement is normally over 3, 4 or 5 years and after you have made your final payment, the car is yours.
  • Hire Purchase (HP) with a final balloon payment - this often suits buyers who wish to change their car more frequently and require lower monthly payments.  A final payment which reflects the anticipated future value of the vehicle is charged, enabling the monthly payments to be lower.

You may also have heard of Contract Purchase Finance (PCP Finance) much like a HP with a final balloon payment, however at the end of term you have 3 choices, pay the settlement figure and own the vehicle, hand the vehicle back or part exchange the vehicle.  Dobies Cumbria Finance Limited do not offer this kind of arrangement, however we can access this through our Peugeot and Vauxhall franchises.
