General Sales Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive vehicle sales growth across our Peugeot and Vauxhall franchise. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in sales management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the sales strategy, foster client relationships, and contribute to the overall success of our organisation.
Duties
• Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase vehicle sales.
• Utilise CRM software to track leads, manage customer information, and monitor sales performance.
• Conduct upselling activities to maximise revenue per customer while providing excellent service.
• Oversee the organisation of sales events, promotions, and dealership displays to attract potential buyers.
• Analyse market trends and to identify new business opportunities.
• Ensure the sales team adheres to organisational policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Promote brand training sessions to enhance the skills and product knowledge of the sales team.
Skills
• Proven experience in sales management or a similar leadership role within a relevant industry.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and team members.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Leadership qualities with the capacity to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
• Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant sales management tools.
• Ability to lead a team effectively, demonstrating strong leadership qualities and motivational skills.
A minimum of two years selling within the motor trade plus knowledge of FCA compliance and regulation is necessary as well as a full UK driving licence.

• Basic of £40,000 – £50,000 - OTE up to £70,000 per annum
